About us
We started with a simple belief: student housing in Germany shouldn't be a hurdle, a battle, or a compromise. It should be the start of something — and we built Neon Wood to make it exactly that.
Our mission
At Neon Wood, we are committed to providing a seamless rental experience. Unlike other apartments, you don't require Schufa or anything to book. You are always safe, and you have a community right away. It's about guiding you through one of life's biggest milestones — moving to a new country, starting a degree, building a future — with heart, expertise, and unwavering commitment.
Over seven years, we've built a reputation for excellence — and grown into the largest student housing provider in Germany.

What we stand for
We've turned down growth that would have meant cutting corners. These principles are why students keep choosing us — and why our team stays.
One price, everything in. No hidden fees, no Schufa requirement, no deposit drama. Cancel with one month's notice. We say what we'll do, then do it.
Our buildings are nothing without the people inside them. We hire residence managers who answer the phone on a Sunday — and we pay them like we mean it.
Study rooms, gaming lounges, weekly events, partner perks. We design every residence so meeting your future best friend is a five-minute walk down the hallway.
The faces of Neon Wood
When students leave reviews, they almost never write about furniture. They write about the staff. Meet a few of them.

Our story
A short history of how a frustrated apartment hunt became Germany's largest student housing brand.
2017It started: First Neon Wood Apartment at Warschauer Street
An international student arrives in Berlin. No Schufa, no guarantor, two months of WG-Gesucht emails ignored. We thought: this is broken. Let's build something better.
2019The first 80 apartments open in Mitte-Wedding.
Fully-furnished, all-inclusive, online booking, no credit checks. It fills up in four weeks. We start a waitlist before we have a logo.
2021Cologne and Frankfurt come online.
Three new residences in two cities, plus our first dedicated community team. The "people over property" principle is born here — out of necessity, then out of pride.
2024Tübingen, Adlershof, and 1,000+ students.
We cross the four-figure tenant mark and post our first 4.7★ average across all locations. Every residence now has a named manager who answers the phone.
20261,474 apartments. 8 cities. One mission, unchanged.
The largest student housing provider in Germany — and still the only one where you can book in five minutes without paperwork. We're just getting started.
